#33 Sarah Polk
First Lady 1845 - 1849
wife of 11th president James K. Polk
for religious reasons she banned dancing and music at the White House on Sundays... until a young Kevin Bacon moves to town from big city Chicago and gets footloose with a delightful combination of dance choreography and gymnastics to the song "Let's Hear It for the Boy."Oh wait, that was John Lithgow.
#31 Caroline Harrison
#27 Barbara Bush
#21 Betty Ford
#20 Eleanor Roosevelt
#19 Lady Bird Johnson
#18 Jane Pierce
First Lady 1853 - 1857
wife of 14th President Franklin Pierce
Jane had the potential to rank much higher but most of her photos are from a profile angle and as she seems grumpy, which is illustrated by the fact that she left most of her First Lady duties to her aunt and Varina Davis, wife of Secretary of War Jefferson Davis- and #3 on this list, I can't in good conscience place her any higher.

#17 Abigail Adams
First Lady 1797-1801
wife of the second President of the United States, John Adams and Mother of sixth President John Quincy Adams
How hot is that? One president went in, and another came out, she's got loins of success. Rivaled by only Barbara Bush. Her younger pictures are quite attractive which account for the high rank but she looses position because in the portraits of her later years she looks like a European prince.
#16 Lucy Webb Hayes
First Lady 1877 - 1881
wife of 19th President Rutherford B. Hayes
If smart girls are hot to you; Lucy was the first First Lady to have a college education. Although Lemonade Lucy may not have had much fun on spring break as her and Ol' Ruthy banned all alcoholic beverages at state functions and in the White House.
#14 Michelle Obama
Future First Lady 2009 -
Wife of President - Elect Barack Obama
She is a snappy dresser, and somewhat attractive but media hype aside Michelle Obama loses points for being often frightening, and far more attractive at some angles than others. The fact that she is only 44 in these photos is also considered as many of the first ladies are significantly older in their popular photos.
